Well I began making music when I discovered you can create hip hop beats with DarkBasic game programming software.
That led to me getting music production software and buying a mic and synths, and I went through several stage/band names until I came up with Mimzy. I like bunny rabbits and it's so indie rock ya know so I chose it.
My real name is Michael Farrington, I was born on January 16, 1990. I've grown up in various cities around the American West and I hope to tour the western US and Canada soon.
My musical influences are quite diverse. I take much of my production style from Depeche Mode, the Postal Service, and Phil Collins.
I hugely admire producer Alan Parsons.
And of course, my main influence is my own radness.
I'm also a writer, currently I'm working on a fantasy series that I have been in the work of for 8 years, Tales of the Meklish.
